Bayne, Service Dog in Training

The Humane Society's Pic of Bayne
I adopted Bayne from the humane society in December 2011 as an 8 week old German Shepherd mix. He had such unusual and pretty markings that soon everyone was guessing what he was mixed with; Rott, Mastiff, and Shar Pei being the most common guesses.
Soon curiosity got the best of me so I did a DNA test on him. Lo and behold, my German Shepherd mix doesn't have a DROP of GSD in him! Half Rottweiler and half American Staffordshire Terrier.
Bayne is being trained to be my service dog for mobility assistance. He is so smart and catches on to his commands so quickly! Along with teaching him verbal commands I am also teaching him hand signals for the commands and he seems to pick those up even quicker than the verbal commands!
He's pure puppy at home, but as soon as we get into the car he seems to know he's "On Duty" and instantly calms down and acts like a gentleman!
Our training is going to last about 2 years, but I know that after all this hard work I am going to have one AMAZING Rottie mix!
