My big baby boy!

by Elena Jarczewska

Well where do I start?! I adopted my Rottweiler Adi from a dog pound when he was about 8 months old, and since then I have been completely in love!

Whatever people think about these supposedly "vicious" dogs is so inaccurate!

My adopted Rottie adores anyone who will give him the slightest bit of affection. He's always giving me hugs and kisses and he is truly the light of my life.

Once I was watching a movie and the actress in it was crying, immediately Adi picked his head up and came over to rest his head on my lap, thinking I was upset!

He' so clever and yet can be incredibly silly. He has often not seen my Jack Russell and rolled over on top of her, almost squashing her to a pulp!

If he thinks I'm not paying enough attention he will rub his face against my hand and whine!
He's the best in the world, I would never have another breed of dog as my companion and best friend :)

Rottie Love
by: Anonymous

My beautiful best friend.... is a Rott. She’s 4, and absolutely is the biggest slobbery ball of fat love. Although absolutely clean wall useless as a guard dog, but she has been raised in an environment of complete love and affection with my two kids who sprawl all over her. Her bark and growl is enough to deter ..... hopefully!!!! But if approached she will lick someone to death. Having said that, her obedience is second to none and she knows she’s at the end of the pack. I totally believe these dogs are the best family dog,,,, a piece of advice don’t buy a rott to be a guard dog, if you are kind and you love them, they will do everything to protect you. Just as you should do for them..... after all they should be considered a part of your family because your a part of theirs.

Rotties are the best!
by: Jenn

Hi Elena, thanks so much for sharing your baby with us!

I know that all dogs are sensitive to our emotions, but Rotties seem to take the cake. Both my Savannah girl and my Chevy boy have been very sensitive to my emotions.

In fact, just the other day I was quite upset about backing my Jeep into my Monte Carlo and ran crying into my bedroom and flopped on my bed.

Next thing I know, my boy has jumped up on the bed with me and shimmy'd his nose up under my hands to lick my tears.

My little (big) sweetheart. . . who can stay upset when you have such a loving angel trying to cheer you up?

They are simply the best. . . I love all dogs (actually animals for that matter), but Rottweilers are just special - they will always a part of my life :0)

Thanks again for sharing, and thanks for rescuing too!

Jenn & Chevy
